Values and vision
St. Andrew's and St. Bride's High School, as a Catholic school, aims for gospel values to permeate all that it does. The school wishes to meet the needs of all its pupils through the provision of excellent teaching and an ethos of hard work. Staff are also expected to have very strong relationships with parents and to be dedicated to ensuring that all pupils thrive in an environment which nurtures and supports them while equipping them with the necessary skills for a productive life.
Education Scotland
“Young people benefit from positive, respectful relationships across the school. In almost all classes, young people are treated with fairness and respect, and are well motivated. They respond positively to staff’s well-judged use of praise. Many speak enthusiastically about some of their learning experiences and the support which staff provide… Young people cooperate well, listen attentively and answer questions willingly. Many teachers use questioning well to probe learners’ deeper understanding.”
