An outstanding opportunity for February 2019

One of the leading Boys’ Grammar schools requires an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Technology and Art to join an outstanding Faculty. The post would be ideally suited to a teacher who wishes to broaden his/her experience within an academic school but newly qualified teachers are also encouraged to apply. The successful candidate would be teaching 15/16 periods each of Art and Technology at KS3 level. The focus for Art teaching would be Drawing, Painting and Sculpture to Years 7, 8 and 9. The focus for Technology teaching would be Product Design to Years 7, 8 and 9. Knowledge of ICT is essential and a willingness to be involved with extra-curricular activities would be a distinct advantage.

The successful applicant will be remunerated at a level representing their qualifications, skills and experience.

Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is an academy school based in Altrincham, Cheshire for boys aged 11-18.

The school was founded in 1912. Altrincham Grammar School for Boys is a multi-ethnic seven-form entry 11-18 selective Academy School. It caters for boys who have been selected for a grammar school education from a wide area of South Manchester and North Cheshire. The academic results are outstanding and they place the School in the top 20 maintained schools in the country. Our GCSE results are strong in respect of 9/8 grades and our ‘A’ level results in respect of A*/A/B grades. The 2022 Ofsted Report graded the School as ‘Outstanding in all area’.
