Job overview

Teacher of Technology (specialism Graphics) MPS/UPS

3 year fixed term contract from 1st September 2021 – to be reviewed

This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join our exciting and forward thinking school.

Due to our rapidly increasing number on roll, our Governors are seeking to appoint a Teacher of Graphics on a fixed term contract from 1st September 2021 to 31st August 2024. The ability to teach other technology areas (ie Food Technology/Product Design/Art) would be beneficial.  Excellent subject knowledge and the ability to stretch and challenge high ability pupils are essential.  This role is ideal for someone who is seeking to pursue a career within a school that invests heavily in high quality staff training, support and career progression.  NQTs are welcome to apply.

We are a united team of staff, pupils and parents who work together to transform the lives of the wonderful children we have the good fortune to teach.  We have a relentless focus on being excellent in everything that we do.  We have a strong ethos of high expectations for all pupils and staff, balanced with a focus on community morale and wellbeing.  We offer outstanding pastoral care and guidance to our staff and pupils.  Our Technology team is very stable, and the staff are welcoming and motivated.

We are seeking to appoint a hardworking, positive and enthusiastic practitioner with a commitment to continued professional development.  This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and hard working person to develop their career in a school where we ensure all members of our community live up to our mantra ‘be inspired, be excellent, succeed’.

A willingness to support the religious life of the school and be involved in extra-curricular activities is expected and essential.

Application forms and further details are available from Mrs K Leigh, the Headteacher’s Personal Assistant (recruitment@allsaintscatholiccollege.com) to whom they should be returned by Monday 21st June at 9.00am.  Interviews will take place on Friday 25th June and may be completed remotely.  Application packs can also be downloaded from the school website.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment. Applicants must be willing to undergo pre-employment checks. Safer recruitment practice and pre-employment checks will be undertaken before any appointment is confirmed. This post is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
