The Warriner School is an oversubscribed, expanding school and as such we are seeking to appoint a teacher of Textiles. The Design and Technology Department is a thriving department that offers a wide range of subjects in all Key Stages. Textiles is taught throughout the school. Student success and enthusiasm at KS3 has led to a consistently high uptake at KS4, where we offer AQA Art Textiles. Mixed ability groups enjoy positive relationships to support their work and progress to achieve outstanding GCSE results.
The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, confident and have experience of teaching across the Key Stages. They should be keen to develop existing modules of work to promote student participation, progress and attainment. The successful candidate should be familiar with the GCSE specification. Candidates should be able to teach general Design and Technology (KS3) (and possibly Product Design at KS5).
