We wish to appoint a talented, dedicated and enthusiastic teacher of Textiles with Food in this 11 – 18 mixed comprehensive school, located since 2004 in a new £16 million building. It is expected that the person who is appointed to this post will be able to teach Textiles up to KS4, with Food at KS3, and being able to offer more than one area of Design Technology at KS3, or other subjects within the department, would be advantageous. The post is temporary to cover maternity leave from September 2018 and would be suitable for experienced teachers or NQTs.

The school has had more than £1million invested in ICT for use in teaching, learning and assessment. We have, with parents’ support, introduced tablet computers for all students in the main school. We have outstanding facilities and excellent students.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and energetic practitioner to join a forward-thinking department at a very important time in the school’s development.

Further details and application forms are available from the school website: www.ormskirk.lancs.sch.uk or by emailing: Mrs J Gee at  jg@ormskirk.lancs.sch.uk.
