About the Role
Required from April 2018, or sooner if possible, a qualified, experienced and enthusiastic Teacher of the Deaf.
Applications from qualified teachers with a successful track record of teaching and supporting pupils with SEND who are willing to undertake the mandatory training to be become a qualified Teacher of the Deaf will also be considered.
This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
The Sensory Support Service is a well-established team of specialist teachers, teaching assistants and habilitation officers employed by Croydon LA who support children and young people from 0-25 years with sensory impairment, their families and settings across the borough.
The role may include peripatetic work with pre-school children, those in mainstream or special school primary and secondary provision and/or post-16 colleges as well as work with pupils at the Primary Hearing Centre, Kingsley Primary Academy and the Secondary Hearing Resource Centre at Shirley High School.
