We wish to recruit someone who is committed to providing a welcoming, stimulating learning experience for all pupils. What we’re really looking for is someone that is passionate about working with special needs pupils and is willing to contribute to the broader academy life.
To be successful, you will be a creative, enthusiastic individual dedicated to ensuring that pupils’ needs are met, providing them with a positive learning journey and helping them to achieve their aspirations. You will need to have experience of adapting lessons to make them accessible to all pupils but appropriately challenging.
We opened in a new building in June 2013 to provide education for up to 100 4-18 year olds. We have been making excellent progress since then and in September 2017, we were graded as ‘Good’ in our Ofsted inspection, who stated that “Behaviour is good, and pupils have positive attitudes to learning and stay safe”. We have high aspirations for the future and aim to be a centre of excellence for educating children with ASC.
You will join a team of committed staff who are dedicated to ensuring pupils are prepared for the years beyond education and are supported to pursue their dreams.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teacher who wishes to work in a unique environment. The role will expose you to challenging situations involving pupils with significant special needs; therefore, experience of working with children with Autism would be advantageous. The Trust also values continuing professional development and will ensure that you are given access to a variety of learning opportunities including training courses via the Learning Alliance and opportunities for sharing best practice.
If you would like to arrange a visit, please contact Samantha Newark, PA to the Principal, on 01733 821 403 to arrange a suitable time.
