Teaching ServiceBatemans Bay Public School is located on the South Coast of NSW and is a valued focal point of the community. The student population is made up of approximately 500 mainstream students and is proudly inclusive, hosting 4 support classes (1 autism, 1 intellectually impaired and two multicategory) with a regionally assigned enrolment of approximately 30 students. Batemans Bay Public School also includes Mundarra Preschool where 40 students attend in two groups during the year preceding their Kindergarten enrolment. The school's student population comes from a varied cultural and socioeconomic background that is reflective of the Batemans Bay community and proudly includes approximately 25% of students being from an Aboriginal background.

1. Approval to teach special education and/or experience teaching students with mild/moderate intellectual disability, behaviour difficulties and emotional disturbance.
2. Demonstrated capacity to develop and achieve student growth for a range of complex learner needs through the planning and delivery of high-quality individualised learning.
3. Demonstrated commitment to personal and team-based professional learning with particular reference to examples of a shift in personal teaching practice and learner outcomes that has resulted from your learning.
4. Demonstrated capacity and commitment to add value to broader school programs and extra curricula activities.
5. Demonstrated experience building sustainable, respectful and productive relationships with parents and community.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
