We have an exciting opportunity to join our well established teacher training programme, where we are committed to ensuring that our trainees become the best teacher they can be at KGS and within the teaching profession as a whole.
The KGS teacher training programme offers an enhanced scholarship for both Chemistry and Physics subjects and a fully funded PGCE course. This is a two year fixed term contract, in year one you
will work towards your PGCE with Buckingham University and in year two you will complete your Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) year while having the support of an experience mentor usually the Head of Department.
There is also an opportunity to be involved in the co-curricular life of the School relevant to your area/s of interest (Science Club, STEAM, Sport, Computer Science, CCF, DofE and lots more). Staff are remunerated through the Kingston Grammar School scale which tracks significantly above the national scale for teachers.
