Preston Park Primary are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Teaching & Learning Assistants to join our team. We are a thriving four form entry, fully inclusive and diverse community school set in the heart of Wembley, Brent. Our school is well resourced with rich indoor and outdoor learning environments comprising of bright classrooms, spacious playgrounds and a wildlife nature reserve. We provide a safe learning environment where children feel safe - safe to learn, safe to find their voice and safe to grow into exceptional individuals.
The Teaching & Learning Assistant positions may require you to work with children with high level needs and are known to the special educational needs department. You would be required to work 31.25 hours per week, over 5 days.
The successful candidate will have;
- The ability to work well under pressure, enthusiasm, energy and commitment,
- Patience and ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Initiative, creativity and flexibility in responding to the needs of the child,
- A working knowledge of ICT,
- Confidence with managing behaviour,
- Commitment about raising standards and life chances for the children,
- Good organisation skills,
- Flexibility to be able to work across the key stages from EYFS to KS2
The successful candidate will have;
- Knowledge or experience in working with children with SEN,
- A good general education,
- Sense of humour,
- Adaptability,
- Able to work on own and as part of a team (with guidance from SENCOs and class teachers),
- A clear communicator,
- Good attendance and punctuality.

About Preston Park Primary School
Preston Park Primary School in Wembley, north-west London, is a mixed community school for children aged 3-11. The pupil roll is over 600. Preston Park Primary School is well resourced with rich indoor and outdoor learning environments comprising bright classrooms, spacious playgrounds, a school farm and a wildlife nature reserve.
The nursery at Preston Park has 60 part-time children. We also have a 2 year old provision on site.
