Smart Teachers are seeking applications for a Teaching and Learning Coordinator role at our client school located Central West region of New South Wales. It is located five hours drive from Sydney’s CBD. It is an Independent and non-denominational selective co-educational school. The school is in process of becoming an International Baccalaureate World School Candidate school to offer the IB Diploma Programme instead of the Higher School Certificate (HSC) for stage 6. Innovative and progressive school that promotes a challenging environment by devising, monitoring and delivering educational programs to gifted and talented students. Professional development courses and programs are regularly offered to staff.


About the Role:

• Full-time, Permanent role 

• Position commencing 27 January 2021

• Coordinator 2 leadership within a permanent teacher role

• Applicants must specialise in either English/HSIE or Science 

• Work with teachers to develop professional learning, review data and innovate pedagogy and practice throughout the school. Oversee quality assessment and reporting throughout the school 

• Responsible for promoting a challenging environment by devising, monitoring and delivering the educational program for gifted and/or talented students

• Mentor and support teaching professional learning through a standards based approach

• Develop and coordinate learning innovation programs 

• Assist in the application for and eventual running of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

• Participate and lead professional learning including conference attendance and presentations

About You:

• High-level knowledge and understanding of gifted education including identification, differentiation, 21st Century Skills pedagogy, programs, strategies and the social and emotional needs of all gifted students

• Provide a minimum of three professional references

• Be registered or have the ability to be registered with New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA) and hold a NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC)

• Have the right to work in Australia
