Langdon Academy is a large, richly diverse school for pupils aged 4 to 16.
We are looking to appoint a suitably qualified or experienced graduate teaching assistant to work with pupils in our primary phase to:
Support the class teacher with their responsibilities for the development and education of the children in the class.
Deliver intervention programmes either 1-1 or in small groups
Use routine supervision and care skills to support pupils, including those who have physical, emotional or educational needs as required.
Deliver lessons to whole classes during teacher’s planning, preparation and assessment (PPA) time. We are committed to providing an outstanding education for our SEND and Resourced Provision pupils and you will be joining a highly professional, caring and dedicated team, if appointed.
Whilst experience of working with young people in an education setting would be an advantage, we will welcome applications from highly-qualified and strongly motivated candidates who are looking for an opening into a career in education. This role may suit graduates wishing to gain experience in school before embarking on teacher training. Needless to say, you will need to have a real desire and passion to work with children, especially the most vulnerable.
Whatever your experience, we will provide training and support to enable you to play a vital role in helping our pupils achieve success, whilst developing your own career prospects.
Candidates should indicate any subject specialism which may help to match candidates to student needs.
To find out more about the school and to apply, please visit our school website: www.langdonacademy.org.
Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis as applications are received.
