Term Time Only, Pro-rata

30 hours per week as follows:

TA3, 25 hours per week 

PLUS Midday Supervisor responsibilities, 5 hours per week 

Pro-rata salary starting from £12,996 p.a.

St Mary's School, as part of the SABDEN Multi Academy Trust,  is a 'Good' all-boys SEMH Special school for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils and we are seeking to appoint a number  of Teaching Assistant 3 into our team. We are passionate about creating a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters respect for others, develops resilience, promotes high expectations and prepares young males for successful futures.

We have a number of posts available and the main responsibility of the post will be to support teachers in the delivery of the curriculum, both by directly working with pupils (1-2-1 with targeted individuals and in small groups) and assisting in preparation of resources.  Applicants should be innovative, enthusiastic and flexible and have an interest and knowledge of child development and an understanding of child protection procedures.  Applicants should be able to demonstrate a sensitive and empathic approach to working with young pupils and be able to proactively support pupils with challenging barriers to accessing education. 

If successful, you will become part of a very committed and hardworking team. While some experience of working with vulnerable young people is preferable it is not essential.  We will provide you with high quality training and support.
