We are a rural community primary school situated in the village of Old Buckenham, Norfolk which first opened back in 1963. We are a joint Primary and Nursery School with exceptional grounds that include two playgrounds, a wildlife area with pond, a vast games’ field, international arboretum, amphitheatre, tunnel and mound, an adventure playground and an exciting and stimulating outdoor learning area for our youngest children. We believe in developing a child’s intellectual, creative, emotional, physical, spiritual and moral aspects of their personality. This takes place in a caring and supportive school that has strong links with the local community. Our school motto is “Inspiring learning for life” and we do this by nurturing lifelong learning, aspiring to outstanding levels of individual achievement and promoting opportunities for children to discover their talents. Our strong leadership team and continuous improvement approach was recognised by Ofsted in our last inspection where we were rated as ‘Good’ in all aspects.

• Our 121 Sen Support Assistants work specifically with children on a 121 basis who have SEND needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to gain experience within the education sector and who would like to work in a role that fits around the school holidays.

We are a rural community primary school situated in the village of Old Buckenham, Norfolk. As a primary school we have always catered for the age range 4 to 11, a seven year educational span, however in August 2018, we took on Buckenham Pre-School Group to extend our age range from 2 years old. We are therefore now a joint Primary and Nursery School. We have seven classes: one for each academic year, which enables us to deliver the EYFS and National Curriculum to classes containing single age ranges.

The school was opened in 1963 and has been extended considerably since then. We are particularly proud of our outstanding grounds including: two playgrounds, a wildlife area with pond, a vast games’ field, international arboretum, Amphitheatre, tunnel and mound, an adventure playground and an exciting and stimulating outdoor learning area for our youngest children. We are very lucky to have such a fantastic space for the children.

Due to our close proximity we have very strong links with both Old Buckenham High School and Chapel Green Special School, enabling us to work closely together. We also offer a range of trips and clubs which provide and promote opportunities for children to discover their talents.
