29 hours per week, 37.6 weeks (term time plus 3 inset days)

Salary Scale: GLF Scale S3 £15,461- £17,489 FTE (Actual £10,235-£11,578)

This is an exciting opportunity to support learning, progress and attainment within the classroom, developing student’s learning and improving life chances. The post will provide you with a unique opportunity to gain experience of special educational needs within a dedicated and nurturing team.

Ideally, you should have an interest in literacy, numeracy, dyslexia or ASD and have experience of using IT. You should be patient and calm, with a consistent and positive approach to managing students’ behaviour and an understanding of how students learn. 

You will need to be a flexible team player with an interest in developing further professionally. Duties will include working with teachers in class to support students requiring specialist classroom support. There will also be opportunities to run small group interventions outside of the classroom depending on specialism.

The role directly relates to the number of children requiring specialist classroom support and is dependent on funding remaining in place.
