Teaching Assistant
Permanent, 30 hours per week
Term Time only (38 working weeks / 43.128 paid weeks)
Starting salary £11,528 gross per annum (Pay and grading review pending)
We are seeking a permanent Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated and enthusiastic team of staff as soon as possible. This role will involve supporting the learning needs of students, under the direction of teaching staff, and will suit a reliable individual with good literacy, numeracy and communication skills. Recent experience of working with children who have Autism is essential.
Newquay Tretherras is part of Cornwall Education Learning Trust (CELT), a family of Cornish Primary and Secondary Schools, with a strategic vision of ‘learning together to help every child achieve more’. This is an exciting time to join our large and dynamic Trust, which is responsible for educating learners across four secondary schools, one junior school and eight primary schools, with a Free School (primary) to open in 2021.
Cornwall has a hugely diverse landscape with nearly a third of the county designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Cornwall is almost completely surrounded by sea with dramatic coastline, captivating fishing harbours, spectacular sandy beaches and a rich cultural heritage.
