Harrow Grade 2 (£19,149) – Harrow Grade 3 (£20,478) pro rata to reflect 39 working weeks

Roxbourne staff, pupils and parents are incredibly aligned, committed and passionate about our school community’s potential to achieve remarkable things. We have been graded as ‘good’ in all areas by Ofsted and pupils are beginning to make rapid progress in our calm, purposeful and happy environment.

We are looking for an outstanding Teaching Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the class teacher to deliver great teaching. There will also be the opportunity to lead the whole class, support small groups and work with individual pupils. We are also keen to hear from candidates who are considering becoming teachers, as Roxbourne, through Harrow Schools Direct and Middlesex University runs a teacher training programme which offers an exciting route into teaching.

There is a possibility of placement in EYFS, KS1 or KS2 and although the role will be offered on a fixed term basis in the first instance, there is a possibility that this can become permanent.

This post is a wonderful opportunity to be a member of a school that is on a transformational journey. We have recently developed and launched a pioneering reading programme, introduced a specialist teacher model and provided 20% release time for all class teachers (with protected admin time for support staff), and there are still a number of innovative initiatives in the pipeline!

We will expect you to work hard, role model our values and approach all aspects of school life with a positive and optimistic attitude. In return, you will work with a team that will provide vision and direction and great practical and moral support. You will work in an environment where your opinions are sought and welcomed and a culture in which staff feel appreciated and excited by the journey ahead of us.

We would very much like to hear from you if you share our vision, values and enthusiasm.  An application form, job description and person specification are available from the school website: www.roxbourneprimaryschool.co.uk/vacancies-1. For further information, a confidential discussion or for any technical queries please contact the headteacher’s PA, at admin@roxbourne.harrow.sch.uk

Closing Date: Sunday 15th July at 09:00 (however applications will be reviewed as they are received, please apply early to avoid disappointment).

Start Date: September 2018 (or earlier if available sooner)

Roxbourne is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS disclosure and provide references. CVs are not accepted.
