Brockworth Primary Academy caters for children from ages 4 – 11. There are approximately 280 children on our register in Foundation, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
We have large spacious classrooms, an ICT suite, iPads in every class, an academy library, excellent resources for the curriculum and attractive grounds, which include a pond, nature area and plenty of space for sports. We have many active sports teams including football, rugby and netball.

Brockworth Primary Academy is looking to appoint an experienced, qualified Teaching Assistant to support a child in Y2 who has an Education Health Care Plans (communication and interaction) and has a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
We require a Teaching Assistant with experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. The role will involve supporting the child on a 1:1 basis, within small groups and in whole class situations.
The ability to form a safe, secure and supportive relationship with the child whilst showing patience and understanding will be an essential requirement of the successful candidate.
You will work under the direction and guidance of the Principal, Head of Inclusion and Class Teacher to assist in the educational and social development of this child.
The successful candidate will have a teaching assistant qualification; working hours will be from 1000-1300, 5 days a week. The post will start ASAP and in the first instance, be fixed term until 31 August 2018 and is linked to the child’s needs which are assessed annually.

This is a fixed term contract linked to the child’s needs which are assessed annually. The successful candidate will be required to commence as soon as possible.
