A Teaching Assistant is required for our rapidly improved academy which was judged as good by Ofsted in November 2016. You’ll be working with our ‘Principal of the Year’, Joy Ballard in our multi-million pound state-of-the-art new school building.

Based on the Isle of Wight, Ryde Academy is an 11 to 18 years Secondary Academy and is sponsored by the Academies Enterprise Trust (AET).

The role:

The Inclusion and Special Educational Needs department at Ryde Academy provides support for students’ individual needs. The department benefits from a dedicated teaching area with ICT facilities to facilitate a range of interventions.

We are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to work as part of a team to provide support for students’ individual needs.  This is a fixed term role until August 2018.

The successful candidate will have good literacy and numeracy skills and will have the ability to relate well, to both children and adults.
