Are you passionate about making a positive impact on young people's lives? Spring Lane School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 1 Teaching Assistant to join our team from September 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and dynamic Secondary Pupil Referral Unit, helping engage young people in their learning journey and shaping their futures.

Key Responsibilities:

· Provide classroom support to students and teachers.

· Assist with the delivery of lessons and learning activities.

· Offer individual and small group support to students.

· Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

· Help monitor student progress and provide feedback.

· Collaborate with SENCo, teachers and other support staff to meet students' needs, including EHCP Targets.

Requirements:

· Passion for working with young people and supporting their learning.

· Experience and understanding of pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

· Patience and understanding when working with students who may need additional support.

· A proactive and adaptable approach to work.

The post is 32.5 hours per week term time plus 5 PAD days.
