The Good Shepherd Primary Catholic Voluntary Academy opened in 1951. Located in the well-regarded area of Woodthorpe, Nottingham, we are a large two form entry primary school with a Nursery opening in September 2021, and we serve more than 400 children in the area.

Our new Nursery will be opening on the site in September 2021. This is a really exciting project as the Nursery will secure Catholic education for the younger members of the community for generations to come.


We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Teaching Assistant who is passionate about Early Years education.

The successful candidate will:

• Be enthusiastic and dedicated.

• Be an exemplary practitioner with knowledge, understanding and experience of quality provision.

• Be a good communicator, organised with effective interpersonal skills and a cheerful disposition.

• Have experience working with children in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

• Be able to work effectively as part of a team to achieve excellence.
