Teaching Assistant (Level 3) with Specialism in British Sign Language

We wish to appoint a suitably qualified, enthusiastic and hardworking Teaching Assistant.  Candidates will need to possess both initiative and sensitivity and be proven effective team members.

The successful candidate will have experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN) and hearing impairments as well as a level 2 qualification in British Sign Language. They will be able to build positive relationships, using the appropriate skills to undertake the activities necessary to meet the physical, emotional and educational needs of individuals and groups of children.

Successful applicants should be able to:

• Communicate effectively with adults and children
• Work as part of a team
• Carry out prepared educational activities and programmes of learning
• Assist the teaching staff in the planning, preparation and delivery of work programmes for individuals and groups of children
• Provide PPA cover.
