The Elms Junior School requires an experienced and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to work in our Learning Support Department. The post holder will work to support children with a range of learning needs throughout the primary age group. They will be a flexible team member with excellent communication skills, who is caring and approachable with a passion to motivate learners to succeed. 

The Elms is a thriving independent school on the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire Border and caters for children from birth to 11 years.

The ideal candidate will have experience providing support to small groups of pupils, both within a classroom setting and as part of specific learning groups. They will have the appropriate knowledge to effectively adapt teachers' planning and carry out assessments. In addition, the ability to contribute to Individual Education Plans is vital. Although not essential, a CACHE/NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) Teaching Assistant qualification would be highly desirable.
