Merton's specialist education support schools and services have combined to form Melbury College; a partnership that includes Melrose Primary and Secondary School, Canterbury Campus, Merton Medical Education Service (MMES), Cobham Court and Whatley Campus.
Melbury College is seeking to appoint a team of enthusiastic and passionate Teaching Assistants for our new provision Whatley Campus, opening in September 2022.
Successful candidates will be responsible for:
Work as a Teaching Assistant supporting learning and behaviour in lessons and
unstructured times, fulfilling all duties as required by SLT
Enable access to learning for pupils
Assist the teacher in the preparation of resources and the management of pupils and
the classroom
Supervise external/internal examinations
Work with pupils 1-1 or in small groups with regard to SEN needs, behaviour and
learning
To keep abreast of and share up-to-date theoretical knowledge and application in SEN
to ensure pupils’ specific needs are met

Working hours: 35 hours per week, term time only
Annual Salary: ME5 £22,575 FTE, (actual): £19,461
