Teaching Assistant 

Fixed term for one year in the first instance, commencing September 2018

School: Chantry Middle School [although you may be required to work across all three schools in the Three Rivers Learning Trust].

28.75 hours per week, term time + 5 teacher training days - Band 2

£11348.00 per annum

Effective support of students with special educational need and/or disabilities is a key priority at Chantry Middle in order to help all students achieve their full potential.

We wish to appoint for one year in the first instance, high quality, experienced and committed teaching assistants to work 1 : 1 with named students and join our welcoming and supportive team of staff. 

With a track record of supporting students to achieve their targets and knowledge of strategies used, we are committed to supporting you in your ongoing professional development too. You should also have excellent communication skills, commitment to working in a team and very good numeracy and literacy skills, to at least GCSE Grade C standard or equivalent.

The role will be 28.75 hours [usually within the hours of 8.30 am - 3.30 pm although there may have to be some flexibility] term time only plus five teacher training days.

About Newminster Middle School

The Three Rivers Learning Trust provides education in the Morpeth and Rothbury area and consist of Abbeyfelds First School, Harbottle C of E First School, Stobhillgate First School, Thropton Village First School, Chantry Middle School, Newminster Middle School, Dr Thomlinson C of E Middle School and The King Edward VI High School.

All eight schools have a rich and successful history and continue to be a central part of our local and regional community.  As a converter, multi academy trust [December 2011] we aim to build upon our successes whilst valuing our heritage, to ensure that our students are well prepared to succeed in the twenty first century.

Newminster Middle School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational middle school situated in Morpeth, Northumberland serving students from the ages of 9-13. The school has approximately 520 pupils.
