Hours: 27.5 hours per week term time only 

We are seeking an enthusiastic and capable colleague to join our happy team to support our children and teachers in the classroom in Key Sage 2.

You will need: a relevant qualification at level 2 or 3, good English and Maths skills to level 2, experience of working within a school setting, a thorough understanding of the purpose and role of learning support along with good behaviour management skills, competent ICT skills, a good understanding of child development and an ability to use your own initiative.

You will be joining a welcoming, supportive and hardworking, committed team consisting of Teachers, Learning Mentors, Teaching Assistants and support staff, in a vibrant and attractive working environment. We support each other and strive for the highest expectations, ensuring our children receive the best possible learning opportunities.  As a proud member of Pontefract Academies Trust, we are looking staff who have wish to support children’s learning through high standards of expectation of children, themselves and other staff. 

You must positively promote inclusion, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for all children and have a commitment to raising pupils’ expectations and achievement through your role as a Teaching Assistant.
