Contract term:       Fixed Term until August 2025, due to staff/curriculum restructuring

Salary:                  Grade 15 Point 3 – 4 depending on experience

(pro rata, based on Full Time Equivalent salary range £22,737 - £23,114)

At King Ina Church of England Academy, we are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to support the learning within our academy.

The post requires experience of supporting learning across the curriculum and supporting pupils with their social, emotional and mental health needs.

You will:

  • Be required to support the learning environment and the delivery of lessons through work set by teachers.
  • Be solution focused and positive in meeting the social and emotional needs of our young people and open to innovative ways of working
  • Have the ability, drive and resilience to nurture the emotional health and well-being of young people
  • Contribute to resourcing of the curriculum
  • Support students by adopting relevant, developed strategies and techniques, acquired through specialist knowledge/ experience, to enable them to access the curriculum, engage with their learning and achieve their full potential.
  • Be prepared to work across different age groups
  • Be a reflective practitioner
  • Preferably have successful experience in a school setting
  • Have patience and a calm demeanour
  • Be positive, smiley and keen to work as part of a supportive team
  • Be good at listening
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of pupils, adhering to school procedures and policies
