The Eveline Day School is an independent preparatory school operating since 1989. Our unique school caters for working parents in London and we are open 51 weeks of the year. Our aim over the years has been to provide the best care and education for our children, to create a stimulating environment and to offer the highest standard of service to all.  The children in our care are highly motivated and achieve well within a nurturing, family environment. We are currently looking for full time and part time Teaching Assistants to join the dedicated staff of our prep school.

About the school:

 • Open Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 6:30pm except for bank holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year

 • Full time Teaching Assistants will be required to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and part time staff 10 hours per week (4.30pm to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday)

Requirements: 

• Professional, enthusiastic and hard working

 • A genuine love of children 

• Confident communication skills with children and adults 

• Ability to work as part of a team 

• We provide First Aid, Health & Safety and Safeguarding Training


Main responsibilities: 

As a classroom assistant your will support teachers and help children with their educational and social development, both in and out of the classroom. You will be expected to promote the highest standards in all areas related to learning and teaching in line with the school ethos. 

• To provide support to children with mathematics, reading and writing on an individual, class or small group basis. 

• To help children who need extra support to complete tasks 

• To help teachers to plan learning activities and complete records 

• To support teachers in managing class behaviour 

• To supervise group activities • To take part in training 

• To help develop programmes of learning activities and to adapt appropriate materials. 

• To motivate and encourage pupils 

• To assist with marking and correcting work 

• To attend meetings and reviews.

 • To help with school events, trips and activities.

 • To support and guide the children to ensure their well being.

 • To support the life of the school by attending activities and events and by encouraging participation in them.
