This exciting role offers variety and challenge. The successful applicant will be expected to work with two KS2 children (one in the morning, the other in the afternoon), both of whom have special educational needs. Passion and a desire to improve pupils' learning are very much required. In addition to this, the successful applicant will be expected to do half an hour lunch duty each day. This contract will last up until the end of July 2018 and will therefore be fixed term with a 6 month probationary period. Burleigh is a two form entry primary set in lovely, large grounds in central Cheshunt. The infant building was built in the '60s while the junior building, opened in 1948, is a grade 2 listed site. Schools amalgamated in 1995. The last OFSTED was in February 2014. The school was graded as 'good' in all areas. Inspectors commented on the caring relationship between staff and pupils. Pupils are well behaved and enjoy learning. Teachers plan together and there is a strong team atmosphere. Social events are regularly arranged by staff. Teaching assistants work in each year group. All staff at Burleigh are dedicated to working together to create a stimulating and happy environment for learning.
