Rugeley School, Blithbury Road, Blithbury, Rugeley, WS15 3JQ
Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm
We require experienced Teaching Assistants to work on a full-time basis at Rugeley School to undertake education support duties and assist the class teacher in the day to day needs of the students to help with their care and to enable the teacher to implement the curriculum. Rugeley School is a specialist residential setting for young people aged 5 to 19 with autism and moderate to severe learning difficulties.
Duties will include:
- To help students progess and behaviour.
- The help keep up to date records on the students and work as part of a team.
- To attend training where relevant.
- Autism can present very challenging behaviours and staff must have the confidence and emotional resilience to deal with these.
This is a physically demanding role and staff will also need to have the confidence to deal with the challenging behaviours that autism can present. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all our employees to share in this commitment.
