Our TA team is growing! We have a range of exciting opportunities where your work will help to transform the life chances of our students.

We are looking for three outstanding Teaching Assistants to guide our students’ development, overcoming barriers to learning with great ambition, passion and drive.


  • Role: Teaching Assistant – 3 posts available
  • Reports to: Assistant Headteacher / SENCO
  • Hours: 33 hours per week, term time and inset days
  • Contract: Permanent 
  • Salary: Grade 5, scale points 6 – 11 [£20,043 - £22,129 pro rata / £15,873 - £17,525 actual]
  • Start date: September 2022


About the role

We are growing our team to work in a variety of ways, including through 1-1 student support, providing academic intervention within specific Faculty zones and classrooms, playing a leading role in the school’s own inclusion base, and working closely with the pastoral team where targeted support to raise aspirations may be needed.

Your high quality support for students, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, will guide their development and promote key literacy and numeracy skills.

The role operates within a strong team of supportive colleagues, and the school recognises the importance of providing high quality professional development to support individual growth and confidence. 


About you

You will be passionate about the value of education, particularly when facing challenges of educational and social disadvantage. You will have experience of working with young people and will be confident in building positive relationships to engage students and nurture their development. 

You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstrate sensitivity to the range of needs and difficulties that young people experience. You will believe in our school values and strive to routinely demonstrate them in all aspects of the role.
