Teaching Assistant

Cotswold Spa Hospital School is looking to appoint a teaching assistant to join our outstanding and happy teaching team. We are proposing a 30 hour working week, spread across Monday-Friday. The suggested working hours are 9am-3:30pm, inclusive of breaks. However there may be some flexibility with this for the right candidate. 

Based within a 12-bed hospital that treats adolescents and young adults suffering from eating disorders, this is a remarkable opportunity to make an enormous difference to the lives of young people. The successful candidate will be supporting the teaching of one-to-one or small groups of students to maintain or catch up with their studies while receiving inpatient treatment.

The ideal candidate should:

• be able to empathise and engage easily with young people, offering appropriate and professional support at all times

• be resilient, flexible and adaptable in their approach in order to meet the differing needs of individual students

• be committed to safeguarding and have an awareness of its importance

• maintain high professional standards and confidentiality at all times

There will also be a small amount of admin duties involved in this role for which full training and support will be given.
