Vision for Education is seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant for a Year 1 class to join our successful supply teaching team and to work in a local primary school in Chesterfield. This is a full-time primary teaching assistant role working in a year 1 class starting May 2021 till July 2021.

The role

The successful Year 1 Teaching Assistant will be working five days a week from May 2021 – July 2021. You will provide general classroom support for a Year 1 class as well as some small group work. The role would suit someone with excellent knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, ideally someone who has worked in Year 1 recently.

The school

The school is a smaller than average sized primary graded GOOD in their latest Ofsted inspection. Even though this is a temporary contract the chosen teacher will have the full support of the SLT and be expected to be fully involved and committed to the schools needs.

Requirements

To be considered for the Level 3 Teaching Assistant position, you will:

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification. 

• Have experience of working as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in a Primary environment.

• Be experienced in working with smaller nurture groups to boost attainment.

• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of school staff.

• Ideally have experience delivering primary lessons.
