The Government’s remit for Teaching School status gives designated schools a leading role in the training and professional development of teachers, support staff and Head Teachers, as well as contributing to the raising of standards through school-to-school support. Bedonwell Infant & Nursery School is the outstanding lead school, of the established Bexley Teaching School Alliance.  The Teaching School operates in co-operation and liaison with Local Authorities as well as with a range of educational settings.

All applicants will be required to meet the person specification.  You must be adaptable, committed, a good team player, have a sense of humour and have experience of working within a classroom. The Bexley Teaching School Alliance operates in partnership with accredited ITT providers and plays a strong role in the recruitment, selection, design and delivery of ITT, helping to shape new school-university partnerships in teacher training. This includes a range of approaches such as supporting the development of the highest quality school placements and trainee mentoring across alliances, working with universities to ensure that selection and training meets the needs of local schools.
