Siena Catholic Primary School is looking for an experienced teacher who is talented in and passionate about teaching literacy and mathematics, particularly in the early years. The successful applicant will work in cooperation with year-level Classroom Teachers, the Support Team and the Primary Learning Leader by analysing data and implementing evidence based, effective pedagogies to value add to student learning. This is a full time position. The successful applicant should: have a contemporary knowledge of effective pedagogies in the primary years; have a love of teaching literacy; be innovative; have a belief that students are capable of achieving incredible learning outcomes, and be willing and able to work collegially with other teachers to get those outcomes for our students.

Siena Catholic Primary School is located in Sippy Downs, in close proximity to the beaches of the Sunshine Coast. We are a co-educational primary school catering for approximate 630 students. Siena has a strong commitment to Christian faith, meeting the needs of each student and a supportive community. The school began in 2002 and has rapidly grown to its full capacity and is guided by the principles and teachings of St Catherine of Siena.

This position involves working with children.  The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child related employment in accordance with the law.
