If so, why not consider Bushey Meads School as your next career move. From April 2018 we are looking to enhance our highly skilled team of technicians that are based in D & T and/or Science. The successful applicant(s) will have practical skills in at least one area of ‘Design and Technology’ or ‘Science’ and be prepared to work across both exciting areas of the curriculum as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) technician.
The roles involve setting up equipment and materials efficiently and within a set timeframe, maintaining tools, equipment and apparatus, supporting in lessons as required and ensuring that there is a safe, clean and orderly environment for teaching. The successful candidate(s) will be able to work independently and as part of a team, show initiative and enthusiasm and most importantly must enjoy working with students. Experience of working in an educational setting is desirable as is having an understanding of Health and Safety and Risk Assessment legislation. However the willingness to undertake suitable training is essential.
The full-time post is for 37.00 hours per week, term-time + one week to include 5 INSET days. The hours for the part-time post are negotiable. The salary for these posts will depend on skills and experience but will be in the range of £15,113p.a. - £16,523p.a. (Points 17 – 20) plus London Fringe £714p.a. (actual pro-rata salary stated based on a 37 hour week)
