The Technician will be working closely within the programme of Hair and Beauty which operates as a realistic working environment providing professional services/treatments for clients. Working with the Curriculum Manager, the Technician will ensure that all the rooms are of a suitable standard for teaching and will be responsible for ordering, checking and receiving stock and monitoring electrical equipment.
You would have a qualification in hairdressing and/or beauty therapy, knowledge of the hair and beauty industry and experience of working with young people in a training environment. A good level of general education and experience of working in a team environment, using IT and working in a customer service or retail environment is essential.

Northampton College is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational further education college situated in Northamptonshire. It is a 16-plus institution with three campuses: a major building at its main Northampton site, a smaller campus near the town centre and another 20 miles away in Daventry. It provides places for around 9,000 students aged 16 and over, most of whom are full-time and aged 16-18.
Northampton College was opened in 1973. It merged with Daventry Tertiary College to expand its Daventry campus in August 2004, and its Booth Lane campus reopened after a large redevelopment in 2012.
