Trainer/Assessor in Accounting - Business Skills

Gloucestershire Professional Services (GPS) is recruiting a Trainer/Assessor in Accounting - Business Skills to join our Business School based at Gloucestershire College.  

The primary role of the Assessor is to create effective and stimulating opportunities for learning through high quality teaching, learning and assessment that enables the development and progression of all learners.

As a Trainer/Assessor in Accounting - Business Skills, you will:

• Motivate, inspire and lead learners in the achievement of their qualifications

• Implement and administer all training and assessment and internal verification procedures as laid down by the General Conditions of Recognition from Ofqual

• Support, train and guide learners and develop their personal and professional attitudes, skills and abilities with regard to assessment and verification

• Guide and support learners as to the required evidence for their NVQ or apprenticeship standard and to make judgments about that evidence

Skills and Experience:

• Experience of assessing and supporting an apprentices to develop a portfolio of evidence that has been collected through activity in the apprentice’s workplace 

• Able to effectively develop and map knowledge, skills and behaviours required to meet the portfolio of evidence for the Apprenticeship Standards in Accounting (up to and including level 4) 

• Level 5 leadership and management or Business Administration Level 4 or equivalent  

• Willingness to work towards an assessor qualification (CAVA)
