The Trustees are seeking to appoint an experienced and highly motivated school data professional to join our growing Multi-Academy Trust as our Trust Data Manager. This is a new post within our structure, due to the Trust’s growth and to provide an enhanced service to our academies.

Reporting to the Head of Data & Systems, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the effective use of data across our academies and within the central team. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and take initiative in identifying and addressing data-related challenges and opportunities. This role requires someone with a strong background in managing and developing systems within a large organisation, coupled with exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience of SIMS .net, SISRA Analytics, Class Charts, NovaT6 and Power BI would be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate will be predominately based in our Central Office, with the need to visit and provide operational data and examination support to schools within the Trust, as required.

LST is a growing multi academy Trust in the North East of England, serving children and families in the west of Newcastle, Sunderland and Sedgefield in both the primary, secondary and alternative provision sectors. We pride ourselves in being a progressive, inclusive Trust that supports every child to develop their talents whatever they may be and to reach their academic potential.

This role is a key appointment for us as our Trust expands to educate more than 6,000 children, ensuring that our academies’ data management systems operate efficiently and effectively.

With over 6,000 children, excellent resources and a drive for continuous improvement, LST is actively seeking staff who want to make a difference and be part of this exciting phase of our development. At LST we are Ambitious & Brave, Curious & Determined, Extraordinary, Fast and Good in everything we do – if you share these values and would like to be part of our growing team then we’d like to hear from you.

Further details and an application pack can be downloaded from the Careers section on the Laidlaw Schools Trust website https://www.laidlawschoolstrust.co.uk/72/vacancies-1

For an informal discussion regarding this post please contact Chris Lane, Head of Data and Systems on 0191 662 2413.

Closing Date: 12 noon on Wednesday 24th April 2024

Applications should be returned to: hradmin@laidlawschoolstrust.com

We are an equal opportunities employer strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate their commitment to children’s safeguarding. All successful appointments will be subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and a range of other pre-employment recruitment checks.

An online search will be undertaken for shortlisted candidates as part of the recruitment process on information available in the public domain. Candidates should disclose anything that may be relevant in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education. This search does not form part of the shortlisting process and candidates will have the chance to discuss any issues of concern that may arise during this search at interview.
