We are passionate about education; students not only achieve outstanding exam results but experience an exceptional community programme. Many students have won local and national awards for their contributions to society.

We are looking to recruit well qualified and talented staff who will complement and add to a dynamic team and who have all the right attributes to make a valid contribution to the wider life of the school and ensure that students are making the right progress.

A subject specialism in Maths or Science is needed and the right candidate would be keen to teach one/both of these disciplines across Key Stage 4 to Key Stage 5 either on a 1-1 basis or in small groups. There is considerable flexibility to make this role fit the right person however, and support is available to allow for in-post development. A part time fraction could also be considered.

We welcome applicants who are recent Graduates or those looking to embark on Teacher Training. This role will provide you with first hand exposure to working in a school setting. If this is of interest to you, please include this in your supporting statement so that a member of the panel can discuss it with you in more detail.

Please be aware that interviews may be conducted on a rolling basis, therefore, we strongly encourage early applications to avoid disappointment.

We are seeking someone who:

  • is able to demonstrate that they can work with individual pupils to progress their learning in Maths and Science.
  • Will be a role model in all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. All successful applicants will be required to undertake a criminal record check via the DBS prior to appointment.

Hendon School is a popular, inclusive multi-cultural school with a commitment to the highest quality teaching and learning. We are passionate about education; students not only achieve outstanding exam results but experience an exceptional community programme. Many students have won local and national awards for their contributions to society.

Hendon School is a family – albeit a very large and diverse family – and we celebrate that. We are stronger because of our differences and because of the way that we work together. Our school is entering a new and dynamic phase of its development and this year we have been working to articulate the vision and values that underpin our school community.

At Hendon School we work in partnership with parents, the local community and other schools, both in England and Internationally. Recently we were honoured to be invited to join the Mayors Gold Club, which allows us to share good practice with other London schools. We are a National Citizen Service Champion School and hold the British Council International Schools Award. We work closely with our local feeder primary schools, both as part of our high involvement transition programme and also to enrich and inspire younger students.

Hendon is an amazing school. We are passionate about education and about working with our young people to give them the best opportunities and to help them to be ready for the next stage of their life. We take good care of them and work with them to unlock their potential.
