Thuringia International School Weimar, Germany (ThIS), seeks to appoint an Upper School Principal for August 2019.
The Upper School Principal serves as the administrative and educational leader of grades 6-12 and is responsible for the overall operation of the Upper School. The Upper School Principal provides leadership, administrative, and supervisory skills for the educational development of students as well as to promote parent and community involvement, and is supervised by the Director.
The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications and experience and familiarity with international educational programs, preferably the IB Diploma Program, IB Middle Years Program, and Cambridge IGCSE. They will be able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills, an ability to work in a flexible, autonomous and collaborative manner, and good inter-personal skills.
This is set in the beautiful town of Weimar and provides an international experience for 320 children of expatriates as well as German nationals. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools and is a member of the Association of German International Schools.
