Vice Principal

Responsibilities

Sha Tin College  seeks to appoint an outstanding teacher and experienced leader as Vice  Principal. The successful applicant will join the Senior Leadership Team  consisting of the Principal, two other Vice Principals, three Senior  Leaders and the Business Manager, whose collective role is to provide  educational leadership in the school and community, by promoting and  implementing the school’s mission and values and by working to realise  the College Strategic Plan. The successful applicant will show the  ability to think strategically, will be skilled in team building,  leading and motivating staff, and will possess a high level of  operational efficiency, with the overall goal of ensuring excellent  educational outcomes for our students.  Pedagogical expertise,  curriculum development experience, timetabling and data analysis  experience are preferred.
The position will be a full-time renewable contract for an initial two year period, starting in August 2019.

• An excellent teacher who secures excellent outcomes for their learners;
• Previous successful school leadership experience in a substantive whole school role;
• The vision and drive to prepare for a future that may not yet be defined;
•  A growth mindset, with the desire to promote challenge, inquiry,  innovation and reflection, with a commitment to continuous school  improvement;
• A strategic outlook, with the courage to take tough decisions when necessary;
•  Very high expectations of self and others, with the ability to coach  and mentor successfully, creating an atmosphere of mutual trust through  collaboration and teamwork;
• Strong communication and interpersonal  skills, ensuring the building of positive relationships with students,  staff and parents, and the promotion of the school within the wider  community;
• A desire to contribute to development across the whole English Schools Foundation (ESF);
• Exemplary professional qualities.
