Following internal promotion, we are looking for an individual who can support the Principal in the next stage of the Academy’s journey to outstanding. 

The 2017 Ofsted report stated the leadership team has maintained the good quality of education in the school since the last inspection and that they have ensured ongoing improvement by providing strong direction.

About the role

You will be required to ensure students make excellent progress through careful tracking and a bespoke curriculum. To deputise for the Principal as and when necessary. To provide, within the Senior Leadership Team, strategic leadership for the academy and provide support for the Principal, staff and students. There will be a teaching commitment of 0.4.

About the Academy

At Fairfield Academy we set high standards for our pupils and expect them to take pride in their behaviour and their learning. We encourage children to establish good relationships with each other and to develop lively and enquiring minds. Our Academy is very lucky to be able to benefit from lots of outdoor field space including an outdoor classroom and brand new Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 outdoor learning area. We also have a nursery, a well-equipped music room, an art area and a spacious school hall.

The Academy is situated within the Scartho, Fairfield, Springfield community of Grimsby, which enjoys a good cross-section of popular quality housing, as well as a mature local authority housing development, much of which is now privately owned. Close by is an excellent shopping area that serves all needs. We are very proud of our integrated family at the Academy. There is easy access to the town centre and the countryside, with satellite villages within easy commuter travelling distance.
