The Opportunity

This is a unique career opportunity for an exceptional individual to lead and embed an outstanding pastoral programme at a prestigious British international school for children aged 3-18 in Thailand. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to lead teams that deliver outstanding pastoral care for all throughout the School and contribute to the development of the Prep and Senior Schools as a whole. The School

Building on the outstanding success of Denla Kindergarten Schools, Denla British School opened in May 2017 for children aged 3 to 10 (EY1 to Year 6). The School will enrol students up to Year 8 in 2018/19 and then up to Year 13 (age 18) in subsequent years.  Denla British School embraces the academic rigour and holistic style of education promoted by the British independent school system, whilst also remaining true to Thai values. This distinct blend aims to ensure that all students excel academically and develop as able, well-rounded individuals who are both internationally minded and appreciative of the Thai culture.

The Person

We want our Vice-Principal Pastoral to be someone who:

• is an excellent leader with the ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and parents;
• is an outstanding role model for the exemplary values, behaviour and care we would expect from our staff and children;
• has experience or a strong understanding of British independent school education;
• is able to develop and enhance the pastoral care of all children at DBS, maintaining a forward-facing approach;
• is able to work with the School’s Principal to grow and shape the School as it extends into the Prep and Senior phases.
