Westminster Academy is seeking to appoint a Vice Principal, Teaching and Learning to lead on all aspects of teaching and learning, quality assurance, self-evaluation, and faculty professional development. Providing strategic leadership of the curriculum teams, the Vice Principal will build on strong foundations to realise a vision for inspirational and creative teaching and learning at the Academy.

Westminster Academy is an outstanding International Business and Enterprise Academy serving a multi-ethnic community in Central London. Its ethos is grounded in the IB Learner Profile, encouraging intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial spirit and fostering a real sense of communal endeavour. The Academy has gained national recognition for its work to improve outcomes for students, and its aspirational and inclusive vision. As the leader of the Westminster Academy community, the incoming Principal will have the opportunity to shape the future of the Academy whilst working alongside an exceptionally talented group of teachers and leaders.

The ideal candidate will be an outstanding teacher and leader of teaching and learning, with a detailed knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme or other related inquiry-led programmes. A genuine alignment with the philosophy of the Academy and a passion for educational access for all regardless of socio-economic background are essential, as is a passion for working in a truly diverse community.
