Wakefield Grammar School Foundation is one of the country’s leading families of single sex independent day schools, Queen Elizabeth Grammar School and Wakefield Girls’ High School, Junior and Senior Schools.

Working within our highly successful and aspirational music department, we are looking to appoint three able and inspiring Visiting Instrumental Musicians. 

Music is an integral part of our schools and we firmly believe that extra-curricular music plays a vital role in the education and development of our pupils. The Music Departments cultivate a lively, active and happy atmosphere and caters for a wide variety of genres and musical interests.

We are looking to appoint three VIMs, all on fixed term contracts until the 31st August 2022.  Please see our website for further details of each role.

The successful candidates will deliver one to one lessons to pupils and should themselves be confident and able performers and be familiar with relevant teaching materials and techniques. Accompanying skills and an ability to help out in concert performances would be desirable.

The hourly rate of pay is currently £29.22 (including holiday pay).

As part of our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, the successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check.
