Job overview
We are seeking to appoint a Visiting Music Tutor (VMT) in acoustic and electric guitar to work at Mayfield School from September 2019. Mayfield has a long and successful history of individual music tuition, and the new tutor will be contributing to this continued good practice.
The successful candidate will be capable of tutoring girls up to and beyond Grade 8, and should be familiar with all major exam board syllabuses.
Mayfield is a Catholic independent boarding and day School for approximately 400 girls aged 11-18 years set in 75 acres of beautiful Sussex countryside, less than 50 miles from London, 40 minutes from Gatwick and 15 minutes from the charming historic town of Tunbridge Wells. Our latest ISI inspection report states that the quality of education at Mayfield is "outstanding" and was described by Country Life magazine as "one of the finest schools in the land."
