The Governors of All Hallows RC High School are seeking to appoint a vocational tutor to deliver entry level and level 1 construction courses to KS3 and KS4 pupils, such as NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Occupational Studies for the Workplace, to join our small friendly school.  You will be welcomed into our forward thinking school where staff have a passion for teaching and learning.

Our mainstream school has a purpose built construction area for both indoor and outdoor activity.  You will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating and assessing courses alongside teaching our friendly and enthusiastic pupils.  You will be required to teach building/construction skills such as joinery, tiling and bricklaying.   The ability to provide some horticulture tuition and/or other practical activity is desirable.

The successful candidate will:

• Have good construction skills and construction experience

• Have previous experience of tutoring/teaching others

• Deliver lessons that help pupils to make great progress and feel proud

• Be warm, engaging and resilient whilst adhering to all Health and Safety requirements

• Take part in the wider life of school
