Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Waldorf Programme Lead to oversee and enhance the Waldorf educational experience across the Pre-primary, Primary, and Secondary sections of our school. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Waldorf education principles, a proven track record of effective program management, and the ability to inspire and collaborate with teachers to create a nurturing and holistic learning environment.


Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development:

  • Design and implement a comprehensive Waldorf curriculum that aligns with the developmental stages of Pre-primary, Primary, and Secondary students.
  • Collaborate with section coordinators and teachers to ensure a seamless and integrated Waldorf educational experience across all sections.


Teacher Support and Development:

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to teachers, fostering their understanding and application of Waldorf pedagogy.
  • Organise workshops and professional development sessions to enhance teachers' skills in Waldorf education.


Teaching Standards:

  • Ensure the consistent application of Waldorf teaching standards through regular classroom observations.
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to teachers, promoting continuous improvement and adherence to Waldorf principles.


Teaching Role Model:

  • Teach lessons and, when necessary, cover classes to serve as a role model for effective Waldorf teaching.
  • Demonstrate best practices and maintain a strong connection with classroom experiences.


Staffing:

  • Liaise with the Employee Success Department to plan staffing requirements and actively participate in the recruitment and onboarding of teachers.
  • Ensure a cohesive and motivated teaching team aligned with the Waldorf educational philosophy.


Timetabling:

  • With support of the sections coordinators develop and manage timetables for Pre-primary, Primary, and Secondary sections, ensuring optimal use of instructional time and effective coordination among subjects.


Global Connections:

  •  Build and strengthen connections with Waldorf organizations and schools worldwide to facilitate collaborative initiatives and shared best practices.


Strategic Development:

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive strategy for the school, exploring innovative ways to integrate Waldorf pedagogy with 21st-century educational needs.
  • Stay abreast of educational trends and research to inform strategic decisions that align Waldorf principles with contemporary learning requirements.


Community Engagement:

  • Foster a sense of community within the Waldorf sections, encouraging collaboration and a supportive atmosphere among students, teachers, and parents.


Resource Management:

  • Manage and allocate resources effectively to support the implementation of the Waldorf programme.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Waldorf Education, or a related field.
  • Waldorf Teacher Training certification is mandatory
  • Proven experience as a Waldorf educator (2 completed full cycles grade 1 to 8 would be an advantage) with a successful track record in program management.
  • Strong understanding of Waldorf education principles and their application across different age groups.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leadership experience in an educational setting.
