Hours: Full time (37 hours per week) (all year round) 

The GORSE Academies Trust, a vibrant and forward-thinking teaching community, seeks to appoint an outstanding and committed Web Designer to lead on the development of websites that reflect the excellent work of the trust. The successful candidate would join an experienced and enthusiastic team of professionals working in websites, design, photography, marketing, and application development. As a trust, we are committed to the growth and development of our staff, and you will be given the opportunity to thrive and excel in your role.

You must be passionate about your work, committed to creating highly functional and intuitive web solutions, and capable of communicating clearly and listening carefully. We are keen to hear from web designers from all backgrounds, including agency, in-house, graduates, freelance and those who are self-taught/aspiring professionals. A portfolio is expected of all candidates to showcase the quality of your work.

As part of your work you will be exposed to colleagues from all our partner schools but will work primarily with the central team, its directors, and in some cases the executive office.

The successful Web Designer should demonstrate:

  • Strong skills in HTML and CSS
  • Experience in developing and maintaining WordPress sites
  • Strong understanding of web hosting, domains, security and DNS Management
  • Up-to-date knowledge of website best practices and responsive designs
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills
